Fullbright Scholarship for Maciej Capiński

Maciej Capiński, PhD, was granted a Fullbright scholarship for a seven-month stay at Florida Atlantic University. During this visit, he will be working on computer-assisted evidence of diffusion in dynamic systems and its applications to the dynamics of celestial bodies.

Professor Zbigniew Szkutnik is a member of the European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society

Prof. Zbigniew Szkutnik was appointed a member of the European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability for a four-year term (2019-2022).

The Bernoulli Society has been operating since 1975 within the International Statistical Institute (one of the oldest scientific societies, founded in 1885) and supports the development of probability theory in its broadest sense through various organizational and publishing initiatives. The European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society promotes international scientific cooperation in the fields of probability theory and statistics and their applications, in particular by organizing biennial European Meetings of Statisticians and other scientific conferences. The European Regional Committee, through its representative, participates in the work of the Program Committee of the Bernoulli Society.
