First- cycle studies at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics are conducted without declaring a specialization, but 30 per cent out of the total number of 1,800 academic hours are elective modules. This enables each undergraduate student to get prepared to continue their education within the second-cycle degree programme in one of the six specializations offered by the Faculty (by a judicious selection of electives).
The studies are conducted in accordance with the study plan available below and, upon the completion of the programme, students are awarded a bachelor’s degree in the field of mathematics. Apart from completing all the courses included in the degree programme, it is also necessary to complete an internship, pass the bachelor’s degree exam, write and defend a bachelor’s thesis (list of questions for the bachelor’s degree exam).
The courses provided at the AGH UST include: lectures (W), auditorium classes (C), lab classes (L), conversation seminars (K), combining elements of a lecture and a class, seminars (C), and foreign language classes (C).
